Olympic Distance Triathlon: 1.5k Swim – 40k Bike – 10k Run
Relay Teams (Olympic and Sprint Distance Triathlons)
Sprint Triathlon: 0.5k Swim – 20k Bike – 5k Run
Duathlon: 5k Run – 40k Bike – 10k Run

Each participant is responsible to know the race course. There will be volunteers and markings, but a little knowledge beforehand will go a long way. A course map is available on the CdA Triathlon website; no paper maps will be printed.

All athletes are strongly advised to attend the pre-race informational meeting on Friday night before race day at 6:00pm at the city park band shell. If you have specific questions regarding the race/course, bring them to the pre-race meeting. Make sure you know the course! The course will be well marked, but knowing the course ahead of time will help you greatly.

We are not able to accommodate para-athletes without prior notification at least 6 weeks prior to race day.

(If water conditions do not allow for the swim portion of the race to be conducted, the race will be held as a Duathlon)

Minimum race age for all USAT sanctioned races is 14 years old – NO EXCEPTIONS!

General Information

  • The City Park restrooms are behind the stage area, and there are portable sanitation units by the transition area.
  • Teams: All team members must be present to receive swim cap, race number and shirts. All team members will be body marked with a team race number.
  • Transition Area: Transition area opens Saturday at 5am and closes at 1pm. Please clear out of the transition area as soon as possible. Be early; parking can be difficult. Your body must be marked before you are allowed into the transition area.
  • NO ONE is allowed in the transition area on bike path area unless you are a participating athlete. Absolutely no family members or friends please.
  • This race will comply with USAT Competitive Rules for “Swimming Conduct” and “Wet Suits” regarding to temperature ranges and use of wet suits, and eligibility for prizes and awards.
  • Bikes must have the bike tag on them. Identification to get your bike out of the transition area must match your body number or your race number. This is for you and your property’s protection. Only competitors with a race number or body marking are allowed in the transition area. Please keep your family and friends out of the area. For your safety and security, this will be enforced.

    Results will be posted live during the race next to the city park band shell  They will also be posted online at Negative Split, nsplit.com.

    An after race complimentary food item will be provided to all athletes.
